The football governing body in Nigeria is the Nigeria Football Association(NFA). The NFA is responsible for the registration of football clubs in Nigeria and other soccer administration. It is also responsible for handling all the national teams (including the junior and the senior teams).
All national soccer coaches and managers are hired and maintained by the NFA. The NfA is also responsible for organising different football competitions within the country.
The last world youth soccer championship was organised by the NFA in 1999, known as Nigeria '99
NFA is under the management of an elected board headed by a chairman also elected at the annual general meeting. The current chairman is Mr. Kojo William, a seasoned football administrator. The secretary general, who is the administrative head is Mr. Sanni Toro. who has been in that position for about six years now.
