Geographical Location
Nigeria is located in the Western part of Africa; between longitude 4 degree and 17 degree East. and also between the tropics of cancer in the Northern hemisphere.
Nigeria has a relatively flat topography, with the exeption of some few undulating structures in the plateau area of the Northern part.While the South is mainly dominated by the thick forest vegetation, the north is made up of mainly the savanah type.
The people and population
The population of the country is about 100 million people spread over the three main ethnic group in the country. The three main groups are the Hausa in the north, the Ibos in the East and the Yorubas in the West. The country consists of 36 different states and the federal capital territory. in Abuja.
The Culture and Occupation
The major occupation of the people is farming. Their main religion are christianity and islam together with the African traditional religion.
